Meet Dr. Frazer Atkinson
Frazer Atkinson, PhD, is a Mental Performance Coach to athletes and high performers. With a passion for mastery and sustainable excellence, he works with clients to help them identify goals, enhance motivation, and cope with self-defeating thoughts and behaviors that prevent them from performing with confidence and reaching peak performance. His clients include Olympians, business leaders, and a range of professional and amateur athletes who compete all over the world.
Education and Experience
Frazer grew up near Manchester, England. With his goal to become a leading sports psychologist, he completed his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from the University of Stirling, followed by his master’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of North Dakota, and then his doctorate in Sport Psychology from Wayne State University, Detroit. He has taught sports psychology across North America and has published work in academic journals such as The Sport Psychologist on the topics of confidence, grit, and perfectionism.
Athletic Background
Frazer played several sports at a young age before committing to rugby. He played rugby throughout high school and college and traveled to Australia and New Zealand to commit to his athletic development, before retiring due to injury.
